HOMELESS LGBTQ YOUTH

Project Type: Feature Film

Current Stage: Development

Current Status: OPEN for Donations

This is a narrative feature film created to raise awareness about the prevalence of HOMELESSNESS among LGBTQ youth today.

WHY THIS FILM?

In the United States, a disproportionate amount of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ. 40%, in fact. For these kids, parental disapproval and social stigmas often make the street the only option, leaving them alone and abandoned with few resources and little support.

Through this currently untitled film, we intend to provide a voice for this underrepresented community by telling their story and raising awareness and support for their situation.

While the emphasis will be on LGBTQ youth, this film will also explore the broader issue of homelessness and the community that exists among the homeless, showing how even in desperate situations hope, decency and the human spirit can survive.

We hope you will help us in our efforts.
